Just a quick note about this book. This book deals with the influence of past trauma as well as the reality of severe abuse and its aftermath. The story in this book is messy, non-linear, and psychologically complex. There are places in this book where the lines that separate the good guys from the bad guys aren’t so clear and there is no quick healing. If you have any doubts at all, please read the content warnings here.

So you’re interested in joining the team as an ARC reader?

First of all—thank you.
You could be anywhere, reading anything… and you’re here, curious about my book. That means everything.

This page is here to help you understand exactly what being an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) reader means—and why it’s such a powerful role in a book’s journey.

What’s an ARC?

An ARC is an early digital version of a book sent out before release day. It's a chance for you to get the opportunity to experience the story first.

That being said, the book has been edited and polished, but there may be some small proofing errors, grammatical mistakes, etc. that are going to require some tiny adjustments, but for the most part you are going to experience the book as it’s going to be published.

Please, if you find anything that isn’t just right, let me know.

By signing up, you get to be one of the trusted few who get a sneak peek and a voice in what comes next.

What I Ask From You in Return

If you claim an ARC from me, here’s what I’m asking:

  • Read the book by the launch date of April 24th

  • Don’t share your copy with anyone else, and please don’t run it through any AI programs (The copy you receive is for your eyes only)

  • If for whatever reason the story doesn’t work for you, that’s okay. I realize that not all books are for everyone and my books don’t fit nice and tidy into genre norms. Reading should be your happy place. I never want to imagine anyone having to force themselves to keep reading something that isn’t for them.

If you connect with this story, and you find something of value between the covers, I’d be extremely grateful if you’d leave a review when the book goes live on April 24th.

Simply put, reviews help books get seen.

But more than that—your voice matters. Especially to us indie authors.

Your thoughts and opinions might help someone else decide if this story is right for them.

Reviews are more helpful and appreciated than you know.
As an indie author, I may not have a big publishing team or budget, but I have you.
Your voice helps amplify mine. Your support is the reason this story will reach the readers who will enjoy it the most.

    So thank you, truly.
Whether you’re here for your first ARC or your fiftieth, I’m honored to have you.

New to ARC Reading?

You don’t need to be a professional reviewer. You don’t even need to have done this before.
If you’ve ever finished a book and felt something—you’re qualified to leave a review even if it just a note to say that you enjoyed it.

The sign-up for Almost Us ARC reads is now closed! Thank you for your interest!
